Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

This document outlines the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for the application (hereinafter referred to as the "App") provided by "BTORT Education" (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms.

Part 1: Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection and Use
We do not require account registration, operate any external servers, or directly collect or store any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, or phone number. All of the user's language learning progress and data are safely stored offline (local database) only on the user's device. The App requests access to your device's photo gallery solely to allow you to set an in-app profile picture. This image is stored strictly locally on your device and is never transmitted to or stored on any external servers. We do not request or use camera access.

2. Third-Party Services and Automatic Data Collection
We use trusted third-party services to operate essential features of the App (such as billing and serving ads). In this process, your device identifiers, IP address, and purchase history may be automatically collected. We do not use any user analytics or crash-tracking tools to monitor your app usage patterns.
- Google AdMob: Collects device identifiers, IP addresses, and app usage data to serve personalized ads in the free version.

3. App Tracking Transparency for iOS
For Apple device users, we comply with the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. We request explicit consent before collecting the device advertising identifier (IDFA) to serve personalized ads, and users can revoke this permission at any time in their device settings.

4. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.

5. Data Deletion
Since all learning data and profile pictures are stored locally on your device, all data is immediately and permanently deleted when you uninstall the App. If you wish to delete purchase history recorded by third-party services (e.g., RevenueCat), it will be handled according to your device settings and the regulations of each app store.

Part 2: Terms of Use

1. Use of Service and Data Management
The App provides an entirely offline-based learning service and does not support cloud backup or data synchronization. As all progress is stored locally on the user's device, data will be permanently lost upon device change, OS reset, or App deletion. The responsibility for preserving data lies entirely with the user.

2. Premium (PRO) Service
Users can upgrade to the Premium (PRO) service via in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Upon payment completion, advertisements are removed and restricted features are unlocked.
Lifetime Access: Valid for as long as we maintain and operate the service of this App.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change the price of the Premium (PRO) service at any time due to market conditions or service reorganization. Price changes will be notified in advance according to the policies of the relevant store and will not affect already purchased Lifetime Access.

3. Refund Policy
As all in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, refund procedures and approvals are entirely subject to the operating policies of the respective stores. We do not have the system authority to process refunds directly and do not support refunds due to device loss, simple change of mind, or data loss from App deletion.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability
We provide the App on an "As Is" basis and do not guarantee improvement in language skills or fitness for a particular purpose through the use of the App. Furthermore, we shall not be legally liable for any direct or indirect data loss or damages caused by smartphone damage, operating system errors, or App deletion.

5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. In the event of any dispute arising in connection with the use of the App, the courts of the Republic of Korea shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
